Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

How to directly render subtitles into video?

There are 4 subtitle output modes available for most of the profiles under the Ripper module. You can click on the Wrench button to open the Advanced Settings window to adjust it:

1> "Remux into file": you can disable or enable subtitles during playback;

2> "Direct render to video": subtitles cannot be disabled as they are embedded into the video (you can only choose one subtitle stream);

3> "Extract to idx/sub file": you can disable or enable subtitles during playback, however, some players don't support this kind of subtitle file;

4> "Extract to SRT file": only available in MP4 and MKV profiles. You can enable and disable subtitles when playback. Passthrough profiles like "mkv.passthrough" don't support rendering subtitles into videos.
